This page is the contract that sits behind every jet ski rental Dubrovnik booking we accept. The brand "Jet Ski Rental Dubrovnik" is operated by Adriatic Jet d.o.o. (OIB HR74829163504, registered seat Lapadska obala 21a, 20000 Dubrovnik), and the company is the legal counterparty whenever the document below says "we" or "us".
1. How a booking is created
Bookings reach us through three channels: the self-serve form on this site, WhatsApp/email, and the third-party listings we maintain on GetYourGuide, Viator and TripAdvisor Experiences. A booking only becomes a contract once a written confirmation has been issued and the required deposit has cleared.
2. Eligibility
Driver minimum age 16. Passenger minimum age 14. All riders must be confident swimmers. Operators must be sober — Coast Guard breath-tests on spot checks. EU coastal skipper licences accepted; non-licensed operation under Croatian Maritime Code Article 11 with our 15-minute briefing.
3. Pricing & deposits
Prices are quoted in EUR and include VAT, fuel, life jackets, briefing, route map and guest parking. A 30% deposit is taken at confirmation via Stripe; the balance is due at the dock before launch.
4. Cancellation summary
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure. Within 24 hours, deposit is non-refundable except in weather-rebooking cases (see below). Full text on the cancellation policy page.
5. Weather rules
Captain Vlaho makes the go/no-go call by 07:00 on the day. On a no-go we reschedule you free of charge or refund 100% of the deposit. Severe weather is defined as sustained wind ≥15 knots or wave height ≥1 m on the Adriatic forecast.
6. Kill-cord and safety obligations
The kill cord must be attached to the operator's wrist at all times. CE-approved life jackets are compulsory and provided. Riders must remain inside the licence-free perimeter as marked on the printed route map. Coast Guard fines for breach (€350–€2 000) are split between operator and rider per Croatian regulation.
7. Liability and damage
We carry €1 000 000 passenger liability insurance per vessel via Croatia osiguranje. Damage to the watercraft caused by negligence (collision, kill-cord misuse, beaching) is charged at repair cost up to a per-incident cap declared at the briefing.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be heard before the Dubrovnik Commercial Court.
9. Data protection and privacy
The personal data you submit during a booking — name, email, WhatsApp number, identity-document type and number for the Coast Guard briefing log — is processed in accordance with the GDPR and the Croatian Personal Data Protection Act. The full data-handling policy is documented separately on the privacy page; the short version is that we keep briefing logs for 10 years (Croatian Maritime Code requirement), keep booking enquiries for 3 years for tax and dispute purposes, and never sell or share your data with third parties beyond Stripe (for payment) and Mailgun EU (for email delivery).
10. Promotional content and reviews
By riding with us you agree that we may use anonymous statistics derived from the session (route taken, distance covered, weather conditions) for our own operational analysis and for the long-form guides published on the dock journal. Photographs taken by our crew on the dock or at sea are only published with your written consent at the time of capture; tagging us on social media counts as implicit consent for a like-for-like reshare. After the session we may invite you to leave a review on Google, Trustpilot, TripAdvisor or Viator — there is no obligation to do so, and we never offer discounts or perks in exchange for a review (Google policy and EU consumer rules).
11. Operator obligations
On our side of the contract we agree to: deliver every booked session on time and at the price quoted on confirmation, maintain valid Croatian Maritime Authority inspections on every machine in the fleet, carry the €1 000 000 passenger-liability insurance (Croatia osiguranje) at all times during the season, deliver a qualifying briefing of at least 15 minutes that satisfies the Coast Guard inspector standard, and answer the WhatsApp safety line during all session windows. If we fail to deliver any of the above and you suffer measurable harm as a result, the appropriate remedy is a pro-rata refund or a free reschedule, at your discretion.
